FIAU passed on to Police 100 cases for investigation in 2019

The Malta Police Force was given over 100 cases to follow by the Financial Intelligence Analysis Unit (FIAU) over 2019.

MFSA issues warnings against Coinmalex and Crypto Foxtrades

Two fined over €25 million for tax evasion

Keith Attard and Marvin Mc Kay have been fined €25 million after being found guilty of tax evasion and were condemned a 15-month jail term each suspended for three years. The court declared Attrad and Mc Kay guilty of fraud.

Police Inspector Edmond Cuschieri to head Traffic Section

A police spokesperson told this newsroom that Assistant Commissioner Nezren Grixti who heads two units - the Rapid Intervention Unit and the Special Intervention Unit will be also heading the Traffic Unit. This means that Assistant Commissioner Anthony Cassar will no longer head the section.
