Cassola had already filed similar requests with the Environment and Resource Authority and the Lands Authority, both of which had confirmed that no such title existed.

Independent candidate Arnold Cassola said that Lands Authority informed him that the Federation of Hunting and Conservation (FKNK) has no title to Miżieb and Aħrax tal-Mellieħa.
The Federation for Hunting and Conservation (FKNK) hit back at environmental NGOs calling for the proposed transfer of the Miżieb and Aħrax woodlands to the federation to be made public, insisting that this should only happen if the government funding they received was similarly publicised.
