Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
Independent candidate Arnold Cassola has written to the Ombudsman to point out that hundreds of families in the Swieqi-Tal-Ibrag area “have been deprived of their sleep for the last 15 nights or so”. The families affected by prolonged sleep deprivation said Cassola live in ST. Andrew’s Road, Triq l-Ibraġ, Triq il-Ġogi, Triq il-Miżura, amongst others
Cassola said that the Water Services Corporation are digging a tunnel from Pembroke to Ta’ Qali. “Unlike the three other useless tunnels being proposed by Infrastructure Malta just to accommodate DB, the Water Services tunnel from Pembroke to Ta’ Qali is necessary, to provide the whole of Malta with decent potable water,” said Cassola.
However, said the politician, work is going on 24 hours a day and a good number of residents have not slept for over two weeks now.
“Can the authorities do something about this tunnel digging at night? This is outrageous and unfair. It is getting louder and louder and has been going on for at least two weeks. Can Water Services have some mercy and stop digging at night?” complained Cassola.
