The Ministry for the Family, Children’s Rights and Social Solidarity has announced that the Family Court ruled that parents can have access to their children through online audiovisual communication.

This decision was taken in view of the current coronavirus situation where parents who have children are being restricted from seeing them due to measures announced by authorities.

This was announced earlier today by Social Solidarity Minister Michael Falzon during a press conference.

The request was filed by the Ministry and the Family Court accepted with immediate effect so that all parents will have the right to see their children through audiovisual means under supervision provided by Agenzija Appogg.

The Ministry has also announced that Agenzija Appogg is currently handling the logistics to provide assistance.
