A new law announced by Minister for Social Solidarity Michael Falzon, will regulate the psychotherapy profession in a specific manner. Before, this profession was governed as one of the professions complementary to medicine.
This was announced by Michael Falzon during a news conference.
He explained how the law will be specifying who may practice psychotherapy and what training needs to be done. It will also say what are the liabilities and duties of the psychotherapist towards those who make use of their services.
In a comment given to Newsbook.com.mt, Falzon insisted that the customer should always remain at the centre of the profession.
