Somali accused of resisting Police Officers

A hotel worker was found guilty of fighting in St. Julian’s, in an incident in which he also resisted several Police Officers.

It was heard in Court how Ismail Ahmed Ali, a Somali resident, attacked and violently resisted several members of the Police Force.  He was also accused of threatening, hurting and not obeying their orders.

He was found guilty and was given an eight month suspended sentence and a €4,000 fine, which he can pay in the next three years.
