Charles & Ron launch their spring/summer ’19 collection in-store

Entitled ‘316km2’, the collection pays homage to Malta, which has inspired the designer duo since their early days. In this case, Malta and Gozo’s towns and villages helped set the tone for the collection’s palette, which shines bright thanks to sunburst orange, sunflower yellow, light sky blue, lilac and mint – all paired with Charles & Ron’s staple shades of black and white. The collection also features some of the Maltese Islands’ endemic fauna like the wall lizard and the freshwater crab, as well as others that are traditionally associated with the Islands including the Maltese Falcon and the dolphin fish. The collection was officially launched in-store at MINUSTHREE, The Point Shopping Mall, Tigné, on Friday 12th April.

The opening of Smudge exhibition at Studio 87

Featuring works by Gabriel Buttigieg, Sarah Chircop, Charles Balzan and Ryan Falzon, Smudge opened to the public on Friday 5th April. The exhibition, which was curated by Justine Balzan Demajo, presents original artworks in mixed media, ranging from photography to drawings to prints. Together, these artworks tackle elements of vulnerability, intimacy, ephemerality and an underlying sense of being exposed.
