Skype introduced at St Vincent de Paul

Skype has been introduced at St Vincent de Paul long term facility, after visits were temporarily halted due to a precautionary measure aimed at containing the spread of coronavirus.

Residents at St Vincent de Paul will be able to communicate with their family members after social media communication is being introduced in elderly people’s homes and homes for people with a disability. This was announced by the Ministry for Social Affairs.

In a statement the government said that the Standards and Social Welfare Authority met the concerned parties and an agreement was reached on the matter.

Two University of the Third Age classes are also being held on radio. The lectures will be aired on Campus FM, frequency 103.7.

On 18 and 25 March, a lecture on Music and its beauty delivered by Peter Paul Ciantar and the Inquisitor and the Inquisition by Vincent Zammit will be aired between 6pm and 7.30pm.
