Out of the 213 cases of coronavirus which have been confirmed so far, six patients are from Gozo.

In his reply to questions sent in by Newsbook.com.mt, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri said that six of the 213 patients were from Gozo.

Earlier on Saturday, Newsbook.com.mt asked the Superintendent of Public Health, Professor Charmaine Gauci about how many Covid-19 cases were from Gozo. Professor Gauci however declined from replying to the question and instead proceeded to answer another question asked by this newsroom.

This newsroom has also asked how many tests were carried out so far on Gozo and where are the patients recovering.

Many readers have expressed their concern about the coronavirus outbreak in Gozo due to its double insularity and other challenges the sister island faces.

On Saturday, eleven new cases were confirmed overnight. Among the newly confirmed cases of Covid-19 there is a two-year-old girl. All patients are in a good health condition. However, three patients remain in intensive care.
