Rokku had saved a man in same spot he drowned in

Rokku Bonnici, the man who lost his life at sea in Żurrieq had saved a man from drowning in the same spot that claimed his life two years ago. 

Żurrieq Mayor Naitus Farrugia said that last June, Rokku was awarded Ġieħ iż-Żurrieq because he saved a man from drowning.

This morning Rokku was fishing as usual, when a wave swept him off the rocks. He was pulled out of sea with an Armed Forces of Malta helicopter, however he was certified dead on site. The incident took place at around 6.45am.
