Repatriation leads to new Covid-19 case

The repatriation of a Malta resident has led to a fresh case of Covid-19 being reported in Malta, the health authorities report today.

The number of active cases has stayed put at 11, as another patient has made a full recovery over the past 24 hours.

A total of 930 swab tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours, identifying a positive case in a foreign national who resides in Malta. The total number of swab tests carried out in Malta so far has reached 103,324.

The newest case brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Malta up to 673. 653 patients have since recovered, but the pandemic has claimed nine lives.
