Refugees demand basic rights in Valletta protest

About 100 refugees from Eritrea gathered in front of the Office of the Prime Minister on Friday. The refugees protested demanding their basic rights. Footage uploaded to social media platforms shows women and children at the front of the protest.

Marching along the streets in Valletta the activists chanted “we are not refugees, we are humans”. They also carried placards with “For how long are we going to be in state of limbo?”

Earlier this month around 120 people were evicted from a cow farm that was rented out illegally.
