“Tired and hungry” Ramla flamingo taken to vet

The flamingo which was spotted in Ramla was taken to a Government veterinarian for a check-up.

Birdlife spokesperson Nathaniel Attard confirmed this with Newsbook.com.mt and explained that the flamingo was taken to the vet by ERA and the Wild Birds Regulation Unit (WBRU).  He said that the bird was visibly tired and hungry.

Attard said that since the bird was taken in by the Government, the chances are that it will end up in the National Reserve in Għadira.
