Professor Aaron Casha is the 53-year-old man who lost his life after contracting coronavirus. His death was announced this morning.
Prof. Casha was a surgeon and an academic who specialized in heart disease.
The Ministry for Health this morning confirmed that the sixth coronavirus fatality, Prof. Aaron Casha was also suffering from other health-related problems. In fact, he was being treated at Mater Dei Hospital prior to contracting the virus.
Family and friends have paid tribute to Profs. Casha on social media who has been described as a brilliant surgeon and a top academic.
Prof. Aaron Casha was married and had two daughters. One of his daughters, Hannah, wrote this morning on Facebook that the only consolation is that her father is no longer in a constant battle against life.
