Prince Charles tests positive to COVID-19

Clarence House, the official residence of the Prince of Wales, has announced that Prince Charles has COVID-19. The official announcement said that the heir to the British throne has tested positive to the virus and is displaying only mild symptoms. CLarence HOuse added that the prince is otherwise in good health.

The Duchess of Cornwall, 72, has also been tested but does not have the virus.

Clarence House said the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were now self-isolating at Balmoral, adding the prince has been working from home over the last few days.

An official statement read: “It is not possible to ascertain from whom the prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.”
