Prime Minister Muscat meets President Trump

The Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat met with the President of the United States Donald Trump, during his US visit.

In a statement, the Maltese Department of Information said that both leaders met at the General Assembly of the United Nations in New York. Muscat and Trump were both accompanied by their wives.

Speaking at the 74th United Nations General Debate, the Prime Minister said that the Maltese government’s goals are to further its work on gender equality, LGBTIQ rights and protections and the opportunities of children.

The Prime Minister also attended an activity organised the Union League Club featuring investors from New York. Muscat explained Malta’s economic vision and the opportunities it offers.
