The Superintendent for Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci addressed the daily press briefing on coronavirus.

12:46 Regarding access to beaches – Prof. Gauci said that they are in contact with the Malta Tourism Authority to discuss the matter and how they can address it to avoid a large number of people on beaches.

12:38 According to Prof. Gauci, the way how a person eliminates the virus from their body depends on many factors. Usually, it can take up to 14 days for this process. The number of cases when a patient continued to suffer from the COVID-19 symptoms, after 14 days, was very low.

It is important that masks should be worn properly as authorities continue to observe people who do not wear the mask that should cover the nose, mouth and chin.
