President George Vella met with UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Thursday. The meeting was held at Downing Street in London.
During the meeting, they discussed relations between Malta and the United Kingdom in view of Brexit. Matters relating to the Commonwealth and CHOGM 2020 which will be held in Rwanda.
The latest developments in Malta and the UK and Mediterranean issues were also discussed.
In a statement issued by the Office of the President, the Office said that during the meeting the British Prime Minister expressed his appreciation towards Malta’s pivotal role in the region.
