One of the projects she is working on focuses on children the Malta Foundation for the Well Being of Society. She said that children need to learn how to live and accept each other no matter their religion, their ethnicity or their nationality.
16:19 Coleiro Preca said that the prostitution reform is a complex one and issues of health and mental issues need to also be addressed.
She also mentioned how she knows of women who work as prostitutes in order to pay rent.
16:17 Another topic being discussed is the prostitution reform; President Emeritus said that she is in favour of decriminalising prostitutes but action needs to be taken against those who use sex workers.

Asked about the minimum wage, Coleiro Preca said that the minimum wage does help eliminate people from poverty as the minimum wage in Malta is still considered as low.
16:13 She said that the statistics referred to the number of femicides as homicides. Coleiro Preca explained that one must make the difference between a homicide and when a woman is killed just because she is a woman.

The accident dates back to June 3rd 2004 and 16 years on the families of the victims are still waiting for justice.
