Bishop Grech delivered his message at the end of a Pontifical Mass at the Parish Church of St Paul’s Shipwreck at Munxar. He described the visit as “divine grace”.
He remarked that the motto chosen for the Papal visit was verse 2 from Chapter 28 of the Acts of the Apostles; “They showed us unusual kindness.”
Mgr Grech said that he was convinced that the visit will serve as a confirmation to Pope Francis, that “we are a nation who has a lot of good qualities”.
