Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that he is seeing contradictions in the proposals for the EP election that have been issued by Partit Nazzjonalista (PN).
Muscat said this whilst replying to a question made by Newsbook.com.mt following a news conference on Monday morning. The Prime Minister said that whilst the PN is scaring the population with foreigners in the country, it also wants Malta to become a migrant centre. According to Muscat, Partit Laburista (PL) of whom he is also the leader, neither wants Malta to become an open Mediterranean centre nor does it frighten the Maltese with the foreigners’ scare.
Last week, the PN executive approved their electoral manifest for the EP elections. Amongst its proposals, the PN is pledging to protect the right for life, improve work conditions and to send people that are not eligible for protection back to their homeland.
Joseph Muscat also said that in this manifest, the PN had missed he opportunity to mention anything on its visions relating to the development of the Maltese economy.
