The Nationalist Party’s leadership election will take place between the first and second week of October said the Chairman of the PN’s Electoral Commission, Peter Fenech during the programme Focus aired on Sunday on Net FM. The decision was also reported in the PN’s daily newspaper.
The Chairman of the Commission explained that there are around 26,000 party members eligible to vote and those who have their membership, tessera, expired, can renew their membership until the 14th of September.
Peter Fenech mentioned that between the 17th and 18th of September the party members will receive a letter which they are to fill in with their details so that the PN can update its information post leadership election.
The PN’s media is reporting that there will be 17 voting sites; 15 PN clubs, PN’s headquarters and at AZAD. Early voting will take place on the Friday and Saturday before the election.
Pending payments for the membership card, tessera, will be accepted by not later then ten day before the general convention. The date will be announced once the due diligence process is concluded.
Newsbook.com.mt is informed that the due diligence on Bernard Grech has been concluded but that of Adrian Delia is not yet finalized and has been given a deadline, until today, to present certain documents and information.
