Opposition and Nationalist Party leader Adrain Delia declared that he has never met Yorgen Fenech after news emerged that he was involved in the company 17 Black.

Adrian Delia issued a statement saying he categorically denies such allegations.

On Monday as the compilation of evidence against Yorgen Fenech, accused of complicity in the assassination of journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, continued, middleman in Daphne Melvin Theuma testified that Yorgen Fenech once told him that Adrian Delia had lunched with him at “his ranch”.

During his testimony on Monday, the pardoned middleman also said that he did not know if Yorgen was lying about that and that he possibly did it to boast about this contacts.

In his statement, Delia also referred to a statement he gave to Lovin Malta in April 2019. The PN leader re-affirmed he never had any business or professional relationship with Yorgen Fenech or any of his companies and that he met Fenech before 17 Black story came out.

In April 2019 Adrian Delia said that “no amount of meetings, encounters, advertisements or whatever else one may consider as being an association of sorts, should ever be construed to indicate even remotely the possibility to dampen his fight against any kind of corruption.”
