Joseph Muscat also said that this historic victory is a result of the unity that reigns amongst the PL ranks were egoism has been shed off, and this is what makes the party so different.

Muscat stated that he does not agree that the local councillors should be dictated what to do by the parties’ headquarters but it is important that they make good for their pledges based on PL principles as they are representing the party and not themselves.

The Prime Minister also said that woken just making up 26% of the elected councillors is still not enough and he added that he will also see that people with disability gain a larger presence in the PL.
