Labour MEP Miriam Dalli said that the pilot-project between the Government and Hand in Hand Ltd will offer therapy to children with autism.
In a visit to Hand in Hand Ltd’s headquarters, Miriam Dalli said that it is extremely important that sufferers of autism be given a proper educational system which is tailor-made for their needs. She also explained that these children must have an independent life.
This therapeutic program will help children speak and create new social skills which will all help them live in an independent manner.
120 children are currently taking part in this project and 12 of them took part in the Government’s pilot project.
