Tista' taqra bil- Malti.
Many Maltese flock to Gozo to join the carnival celebrations at Nadur.
Over the years, the spontaneous carnival earned a reputation for its irreverence. From the photos already circulating online, this year’s carnival celebrations on the sister island seem will not be any different, and did not let politicians off the hook.
On one of the floats features disgraced former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, “From Invictus to Evictus”. Depicted as a mafia boss, consuming Malta, wearing a Bvglari watch and with a bottle of Petrus wine in front of him. The Electrogas powerstation is Muscat’s heart. Former assistant police commissioner Silvio Valletta who is wearing an “I love Yorgen” t-shirt, disgraced Minister Konrad Mizzi and former OPM chief of staff Keith Schembri are popping out of Muscat’s head occupying his brain.
Another float takes a jab at Infrastructure Malta and the cutting down of trees for road widening projects.
Partit Nazzjonalista leader Adrian Delia was also subject of another float with an old car being renamed to “Delia’s prostitute train”.
