A new book on the events of the Sette Guigno was launched on Thursday. Remembering Sette Guigno 1919 has been penned by Alexander Cutajar who is a historian and a teacher at St Ignatius College. The book was published by the Parliament of Malta in collaboration with Kite Group Co. Ltd.
Speaker of the House Anġlu Farrugia, Minister for Education Evarist Bartolo, Opposition Whip Robert Cutajar and Professor George Cassar joined the author at the launch of the book in Parliament Building.
Anġlu Fenech said that Parliament would like to see more awareness amongst the Maltese on the events of the Sette Guigno of 1919. He stressed that these events influenced the Maltese political and democratic development.
Following the Speaker of the House donated copies of the book and other publications issued by the Parliament of Malta to various state schools and to Mater Boni Consigli School in Paola.
