Archbishop Charles Scicluna met with the Malta Council for Economic and Social Development (MCESD) to discuss the pandemic. Minister Carmelo Abela was also present.
This served as an informal meeting for the Archbishop to understand the stresses of the pandemic on the economic and social spectrum. Mgr. Scicluna noted the State’s aid to help employees, while also noting the difficulties families are facing due to the crisis.
Mgr. Scicluna also said that employers should always offer work that offers dignity, and that employees also have responsibilities towards their employers.
He appealed for everyone to work together towards the common good.
