Photos: Annual art exhibition by Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School

The Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School’s fifth annual art exhibition recently had its official opening.

The Gozo VPA School Music Chamber kicked off the evening with a short recital and addresses by Head of School Vince Caruana followed by Mikiel Anton Vassalli College Principal Victor Galea and Minister for Gozo Hon. Dr Justyne Caruana who officially inaugurated this exhibition at the Citadel Cultural Centre in Victoria.

The exhibition showcases the best works of the visual art students coming from the different courses offered in the visual art department – drawing, painting, printmaking, pyrography, sculpture, and installation. It includes various works from both individual and joint students of over 400 students who attend one or various visual art courses.

The Gozo Visual and Performing Arts School houses the visual arts, music, drama and dance sections under one roof. Over 1,200 students attend one or more of the 46 evening courses offered at this school.

The exhibition will be open to the public till the 29th April 2019.
