Non-governmental search and rescue organisations Mediterranea Saving Humans and SOS Mediterranee have rescued 50 people from a boat in distress, with 12 minors and a pregnant woman aboard.
In a tweet, it was explained that they were rescued from a boat in distress in international waters off the coast of Libya, and that the rescue took nearly 3 hours to complete.

They stated that 12 minors, as well as a pregnant woman, are among the 50 people that are now aboard their rescue ship Ocean Viking.
