Partit Nazzjonalista stated that the people have a right to know why trees which were uprooted from Santa Luċija have been replanted in a private field in Ħad-Dingli.

In a statement on Monday PN MP and shadow spokesperson for the environment Jason Azzopardi said that Santa Luċija residents have every right to know why this temporary measure was taken.

Azzopardi added that the residents should also know why this particular field was chosen and whether the government intends on replanting the said trees in Santa Luċija once the infrastructural project is completed.

Partit Nazzjonalista demanded that the government comes clean on its intentions about the trees which were uprooted due to the ongoing road works. In his statement Azzopardi said that the whole truth on how such decisions have been taken should be communicated.
