A pensioner has been given a suspended sentence for allegedly threatening to shoot off a man’s kneecaps following an argument over money.
66 year old George Scicluna from St Paul’s Bay pled guilty to the charges that his alleged behaviour had threatened, ‘moral or psychological violence,’ towards the Mellieħa victim.
Scicluna was given a 9 month period of imprisonment which has been suspended for two years.
A protection order was also granted to the victim and his family, by order of the Magistrate Yana Micallef Stafrace.
The prosecuting Inspector was Clayton Camilleri. Providing legal aid counsel to the accused was Graziella Tanti.
