The Malta Developers Association is advising people looking to buy ‘on plan’ properties to get key advice before they buy.
The body explains that they have received several complaints from people who had bought new homes according to an initial plan, only to find that it was not to their expectations.
MDA explains that it, ‘has lobbied with the authorities for the establishment of a register of approved developers to ensure that rogue developers are easily identified by the general public.’
For this reason, they are advising owners to seeking professional advice from lawyers and architects, ‘to avoid future disappointment and unnecessary aggravation that could lead to complicated legal action.’
