The United Kingdom started today the rollout of the AstraZeneca anti-covid vaccine developed in Oxford.

Brian Pinkerm 82-years-old is the first person to receive the UK researched vaccine.
‘I’m so pleased to be getting the COVID vaccine today and really proud it is one that was invented in Oxford’ said Pinkerm.

Half a million doses are expected to be administered today. The vaccine will be administered in a limited number of areas while it is still being monitored. Oxford, Sussex and Warwickshire are the towns where the given for now.

The Health Secretary described the moment as significant in the United Kingdoms fight against Covid-19. More so following the recent rise in the spread due to the new UK variant.
