Minister for Health Chris Fearne said that the Commissioner for Mental Health does not keep statistics on snap inspections on residential homes for persons with mental health issues. However, he said, the Commissioner’s office receives an average of 12 calls for help or information each week.

Speaking in Parliament, Minister Fearne said that where the queries or complaints cover matters catered for in the legislation, these are resolved as soon as possible.

Minister Fearne was replying to a parliamentary question raised by PN MP Mario Galea.
