Sunday 12th May 2019 is a date that will always be etched in Rachel Fabri’s mind.

The local singer performed on stage with a star-studded cast in two concerts called The Best of… Rock Musicals at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, London.

The concerts were hosted by Sir Tim Rice (known as the godfather of rock musicals) and English actor and television presenter Christopher Biggins. They were held in aid of the Charlie Waller Memorial Trust –  a trust founded in memory of Waller who had taken his own life. Its aim is to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention.

The show was directed by Hugh Wooldridge and featured the City of London Philharmonic Allstars Orchestra, as well as a plethora of stars from the musical theatre world including Kerry Ellis (Wicked), Adam Pascal (Rent), Judy Kuhn (Les Misèrables and Chess), Kristina Love (Tina), Christian Lund (The Phantom of the Opera) and David Michael Johnson (Jesus Christ Superstar).

Speaking to Newsbook.com.mt, Fabri said, “It was one of the most incredible and surreal events of my life and I thoroughly enjoyed every second. I tried to absorb and learn as much as I could out of the experience.”
