A man who is sought in connection with the “brutal” murder of a father on a farm in Cheshire, UK, has now been added to the European most wanted list.
According to police, the suspect also has a connection with Malta.
Cheshire Police said that Christoper Guest More Jr. is wanted by police in connection with the murder of Brian Waters, whom he killed around 16 years ago.
Christoper Guest More Jr. is a white caucasian male, about 1.8 meters long. Police believe Guest More left the UK shortly after the incident on 19 June 2003. The suspect is understood to have links with Malta, Spain, and South America, but maybe living elsewhere, the Police say.
With the 16 year anniversary of Mr Waters’ murder, Cheshire Police are renewing their calls for information in order to find the suspect.
On 30th April, Detective Superintendent Sarah Pengelly said More had now added to the list of most wanted persons in Europe. She explained that this is a significant step in finding the suspect.
She added that she hopes that this latest development would help to revive the interest in this case.
What happened on the day of the murder?
According to Police, Brian Waters died on 19 June 2003 at Burnt House Farm near Knutsford. More Jr. along with a number of other people allegedly invaded the farmhouse where after requests for money were refused, a number of people including Mr Waters, were assaulted. Waters was beaten so badly, he died on the spot.
More Jr. is also wanted in connection with murder and the alleged attempted murder of another man.
Pengelly said it is appealing for help from the public. She said that someone somewhere knows the whereabouts of Jr. More, to contact police with any information.
