One person has been caught violating mandatory quarantine, according to the latest Covid-19 bulletin issued by the authorities.
A further 11 incurred a €100 fine after being caught congregating in groups of four or more, bringing the total of fines up to 980.
As today marks International Guide Dogs Day, today’s bulletin reminded that there was no scientific proof that dogs carry Covid-19, stating that there was no need to discriminate against them.
“Without guide dogs, these persons would scarcely be able to go out even for essential services. Guide dogs are these persons’ shield as they reduce the need for physical contact with other persons,” the government said.
