Norma Saliba appointed PBS head of news

Norma Saliba was unanimously approved to be appointed the role of Head of the Newsroom and Registered Editor of the Public Media by the Board of Directors of the Public Broadcasting Services Limited (PBS).

Saliba holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Contemporary Mediterranean Studies and a Masters in European Studies, while also carrying over 20 years of experience in journalism since her start as a sports journalist at the age of 16.

According to PBS, her career has exposed her to various opportunities. Amongst them are the events that took place in Malta and abroad during the Maltese Presidency of the Council of the EU in 2017, presenting and producing several current affairs programs including TVAM for three recurring years, and winning several honours at the IGM Awards. 

She has recently held the position of Public Relations Officer at the Office of the President.
