No new cases of Covid-19 have been reported for the third day running, though as generally happens during weekends, fewer swab tests were carried out than usual.
Three patients have made a full recovery, bringing the total number of active cases down to 22.
Most of Malta’s Covid-19 patients are convalescing at home, though seven are receiving hospital care across four hospitals. Three patients are at Boffa Hospital, while Mater Dei Hospital and Karin Grech Hospital are each hosting a Covid-19 patient each; the remaining two are being treated at the private St Thomas Hospital.
516 swab tests were carried out in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of swab tests carried out in Malta since the start of the pandemic up to 94,564.
670 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Malta to date, with 639 making a full recovery. The pandemic has, however, claimed nine lives in Malta.
