Parliamentary Secretary for Persons with Disability Anthony Agius Decelis stated that he aims that no disabled person is unemployed.

An agreement was signed by Aġenzija Sapport and the Malta Employers’ Association (MEA), in the hope that eventually, disabled people find it less difficult to find employment.

Agius Decelis explained that up till last February, 2700 persons with a disability were employed on a full-time basis, and around 850 others on a part-time basis.

He added that with this agreement, there will be stronger synergies between the Aġenzija Sapport, business firms and people with disabilities. Additionally, through the MEA Index, there should be an increase in communication and information to companies that have an interest in employing people with disabilities, concluded Agius Decelis.
