Ninu Cremona’s statue to get transfer, pending works

Due to pending infrastructural works on the museum in Gozo, Ninu Cremona’s monument will be temporarily moved until the said works are completed. In a statement the Gozo Ministry said that the transfer would protect the statue from any damage it might suffer from in the progress.

The statue was commissioned following an initiative by the teachers and students at the Lyceum in Gozo. The statue was made by the Gozitan Alfred Camilleri Cauchi. It was inaugarated on 25 May 1973 in the presence of then Education Minister Agatha Barbara.

The works on the museum is financed under ERDF funds Operation Programme 1, Priority Axis 5.
