“Next week is packed with scheduled operations”

The National Blood Transfusion Unit (NBTU) is appealing to the general public to go and donate blood as blood reserves are running low, and next week the operations schedule is packed to the rafters.

In a press release, the NBTU explained that the supply needs to be replenishes as soon as possible, as there are also a number of patients suffering from chronic illnesses and cancer that need transfusions from Monday.

Those who wish to donate blood may go to the Blood Transfusion Unit in Gwardamangia which is open daily between 8am, and 6pm. It is also important to present an identification document.
