Simone Vella Lenicker has been elected as the next President of the Maltese Chamber of Architects, Kamra Tal-Periti.
She succeeds outgoing President Professor Alex Torpiano, for the next two years.
Vella Lenicker takes the top job following a 15 year career in a variety of roles with KTP, including Vice President, Honorary Secretary, and Editor of the journal The Architect.
She has also worked across a number of committees and boards within the Chamber, including the Building Industry Consultative Council (BICC) Advisory Board, the Planning Authority’s Users’ Committee and the Building Regulation Board.
Architect, Andre’ Pizzuto was elected as Vice President for the next two years. Pizzuto has worked closely on revising the Building Regulation System as well as developing and promoting the Emanuele Luigi Galizia Awards.
