Following 1,114 swab tests the health authorities have found a new local coronavirus case. This information came out as part of the daily updates shared by the Health Ministry Facebook page through infographics.

It was explained that the new case is a local, sporadic and symptomatic one. There were no new recoveries registered in the last 24 hours. This means that now, there are a total of six active coronavirus cases in Malta.

The first coronavirus case was found in Malta on the 7th March. Since then, the health authorities have carried out a total of 116,909 swab tests. Among these, 680 people have been found positive for the virus since then. 665 have recovered while nine people have died.
