Archbishop Charles Scicluna has appointed Anthony Gatt as the new Director of Caritas Malta.
In a statement, the Maltese Archdiocese said that Gatt will continue working so that “the Church, through Caritas, strengthens its free services which are offered to drug, usury and poverty victims”.
Caritas also helps families who are currently going through social problems.
Gatt graduated in Psychology from the University of Malta in 1999 and was awarded his Masters in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. His first job was as a voluntary coordinator within Caritas. He also worked with Sedqa before re-joining Caritas Malta in 2015.
