The Church Schools Admissions Office announced a new schedule for the Church Schools admission ballots. The event will be streamed live on www.church.mt from a studio with the least possible people, the Archbishop’s Curia explained on Tuesday. This means that no parents will be allowed to attend. The measures are being taken due to the restrictions currently in place as a result of the coronavirus outbreak.

The video of the ballots will remain available for future reference, the Curia said.

Initially the first ballots were to be held on 26 March however they were later postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak in Malta.

The first ballots which will be held on Wednesday 1 April, are for girls and boys’ admission into form 1. The ballot for girls will start at 9.30am followed by the ballot for boys at 10.30am or immediately after the ballot for girls if the latter has not yet ended by then.

The participation ballot for girls for admission into Year 1 will be held on Thursday 2 April at 9.30am.

The Curia said that the dates of other ballots will be published in the coming days.

A list of applicants who will be participating in these ballots has been published on the Curia’s website.

Results will be available on the Church Schools website the day after the ballot is held on www.church.mt.

Newsbook.com.mt will also be streaming the Church School Ballot on Wednesday.
