Missio Malta encourages you to share your story

Missio Malta has just announced that Pope Francis has declared October 2019 to be an Extraordinary Month of Mission (EMM).

In a statement, Mission Malta invited individuals, schools, organisations, dioceses, parishes, communities, orders and congregations to get behind this worldwide Church initiative. Therefore, in order to gather the energy of the whole Church family and highlight that we’re all called to share God’s love, a global social media campaign will run from August.

During August, the organisation is encouraging the public to share their personal mission on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram with the hashtags #MyMission and #EMM2019. #MyMission lets you tell the world how God calls you, like missionaries overseas, to reach out and share his love. #MyMission could be a simple act of kindness, like visiting an elderly neighbour. However, it could be a bigger gesture, like volunteering with or supporting a charity.

Missio Malta concluded by stating that whatever one’s mission is, it should be shared with others around the world and celebrate that, no matter where we are, faith connects us as one Church family.
