Home Affairs Minister Byron Camilleri said that no new COVID-19 measures have been announced. In a post on Facebook Minister Camilleri said that on social media coronavirus restrictions which were originally announced in March 2020 are again being shared.

Newsbook.com.mt sent questions to the Ministry for Home Affairs and Law Enforcement regarding the matter and it was explained that the regulations which were enforced in March have not been reinstated and that the Ministry did not publish any legal notice.

Back in March, the government issued a legal notice which stated that people cannot gather in groups of more than three people and a fine of €100 will be imposed for those in groups of four or more. The legal noticed published back then also stated that only persons from the same household can be in groups of 3 or more.
