Men accused of threatening Libyan in Victoria

Two men have been accused of threatening a 33 year old man from Libya on the 8th of September at around 5.00pm, at St Francis Square in Victoria.

Then accused are two Maltese nationals aged 33 and 48, and are both residents of Xagħra.

Additionally, the men are also being accused of disturbing public peace and for stating obscene words while being under the influence of alcohol.

The 33 year old man is also being accused of carrying a knife without the required licenses as well as committing an offense while being under an order of judgment issued by the Court.

The men pleaded not guilty to the accusations, and were released from arrest with several Court conditions. An Order of Protection was issued in favour of the Libyan citizen.

The Court was presided by Magistrate P Coppini, while the prosecution was led by Inspector J Gauchi.
